Major (Lazer) News

It seems like there’s only one type of music that still excites me right now.. Dancehall. As I was coming home, in the bus, I was browsing through my iPod to find a song that could cheer me up.. Nothing.. nothing but “old” dancehall. And since the only dancehall I got is kind of old and since I do not have any reliable source to true hot pure fiyah new jamaican dancehall.. I’m screwed.

So my only hope is to turn to American/UK Dancehall that wants to copy jamaican dancehall… You know what I’m talking about.. Major Lazer! I’m trying to build a Major Lazer Archive within this blog.. So anyway.. Here’s what I can inform you about that has not been said already (or maybe has it..?)..

Major Lazer = Switch + Diplo. Album dropping June 16th. Two tracks leaked (both from my blog..). Zumbi (Feat. Andy Milonakis) and Mary Jane (Feat. Mapei & Dr Evil).

There’s a video I posted earlier… It’s a live performance from Diplo and Switch @ SXSW 09. In this video you can hear a song named : Pon Da Floor (Feat. Vybz Kartel). It’s rumored to be a remix from Afrojack… There’s also another video taken from the same performance but with another song.. I have no idea of the title or the artist featuring but the beat is made of a baby’s cry. So until we learn the real name, I will call this song Cry Baby Cry (in honnor to the Cry Baby Riddim)… There you go fellas…!
